Strong pipeline support from the sponsors enabling continuous external growth

EII will proactively work to achieve external growth having the future pipelines backed by the stable property development capability of the sponsors through the sponsor support agreement. While at the same time, it will utilize the ample sourcing routes held by the sponsors to investigate proactively acquiring properties that meet its investment standards from third parties outside the sponsor group.

EII, based on the sponsor support agreement concluded with the sponsors, expects to acquire preferential negotiation rights for the acquisition of the following properties owned, developed or invested by the sponsors upon sale by the sponsors.

  • “Installed capacity” is based on solar module output for solar power generation facilities and on power plant capacities for wind power generation facilities and hydroelectric power generation facilities.
    “Total installed capacity” refers to the total of installed capacities of renewable energy power generation facilities.
  • As of February 24, 2023, EII has not acquired any of the above renewable energy power generation facilities and does not guarantee that any of them will be included in its assets in the future.
    Installed capacity may increase/decrease depending on the future plans.

Preferential negotiation rights for sale and purchase of wind power generation facilities and hydroelectric power generation facilities

EII, based on the sponsor support agreement, expects to acquire from Itochu Enex, the sponsor, preferential negotiation rights for the acquisition of hydroelectric power generation facilities developed by the Enex Group.

As of February 24, 2023 EII have acquired preferential negotiation rights for wind power generation facilities (Installed Capacity:104.5MW) owned by third parties outside the sponsor group. EII will continue to work on acquiring wind power generation facilities.

EII believes that it will be able to generate stable cash flows and increase unitholder value by steadily expanding the asset size and solidly and efficiently operating facilities through utilization of the sponsors’ extensive know-how in wind power generation facilities and hydroelectric power generation facilities, while at the same time diversifying renewable energy sources by investing in wind power generation facilities and hydroelectric power generation facilities.

Operator with know-how in stable operation of power generation facilities

EII has selected ENEX Electric Power Co., Ltd. as the operator of the assets to be acquired, based on the operator selection criteria of the Asset Management Company. ENEX Electric Power Co., Ltd. has stably operated various power generation facilities and provided stable supply of energy since its establishment in 2002. It is an engineering group that provides quality services to customers and has strong awareness of cost control. Taking advantage of the strengths of Enex Power, EII seeks to maximize the power generation performance of its solar plants in an effort to maintain and improve the revenue and asset value of the solar power generation facilities.
